7-Day North Island Road Trip: Auckland to Wellington

The route

Auckland → Hobbiton (Matamata) → Rotorua → Taupō → Tongariro → Wellington. It runs north-to-south, which pairs perfectly with a campervan relocation or a one-way hire before the ferry south.
